Chewy Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies
**Easy Chewy Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies
(Fed Starter + Salted Butter)**

Ingredients (18–20 cookies)
¾ cup fed sourdough starter (active, bubbly, room temp or cold is fine)
¾ cup (1½ sticks) unsalted butter, melted & cooled slightly
¾ cup brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1½ tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
¾ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1½–2 cups chocolate chips or chunks
Optional: flaky sea salt
Instructions
1. Mix wet ingredients
Whisk melted butter + sugars until glossy.
Whisk in egg, vanilla, and fed starter until smooth.
2. Add dry ingredients
Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt just until combined.
3. Fold in chocolate
Don’t overmix — stop once incorporated.
4. Chill (important but easy)
Chill dough 30–60 minutes
(Longer = thicker cookies, but not required)
5. Bake
Preheat oven to 350°F
Scoop 2–3 tbsp dough balls
Bake 10–12 minutes
Centers should look slightly underdone
6. Cool
Let cool on pan 10 minutes
Sprinkle flaky salt if using

Pull while centers look soft
They finish setting as they cool
